The Zamfara State Government has opened applications for the recruitment of 2,000 teachers across various subjects, with 500 teaching positions available in the first phase. This move is part of the state’s effort to improve education and fill gaps in public schools.
There are two main categories for recruitment:
- GL 07/01: For applicants with a National Certificate in Education (NCE)
- GL 08/02: For candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education
The subjects in focus include:
- English
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Computer Studies/ICT
- Entrepreneurship Studies
Basic Requirements
Interested candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Hold an NCE or Bachelor’s Degree in Education
- Have a minimum of five credit passes in core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics
- TRCN certification is a plus
- Submit a medical fitness report
- Be between 22 and 40 years of age

All applications must be submitted through the official Zamfara State Recruitment Portal, developed by the Zamfara Information Technology Development Agency (ZITDA). Anyone who submitted their details through a previous Google form must reapply on the new portal.

Zamfara State Teachers Recruitment Deadline 2025
The application period runs from April 3 to April 18, 2025. However, candidates are encouraged to apply early, as the application portal may close by April 16, 2025.
After applying, eligible candidates will go through a screening process. This includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT), oral and written interviews, and a microteaching session.
Only those who apply through the official portal will be considered.
